The Utah 2026 Legislative Session
The Utah State Legislature has one of the shortest sessions of any state, lasting only 45 days (January 20 - March 6). Let’s all hold our elected officials accountable to open, transparent processes that allow for genuine public input and responsiveness to all constituents.

Track Legislation
The LWV Utah has a Legislative Action Corps that meets weekly. It is for active members of the League of Women Voters of Utah to observe and report on the Utah Legislature. LAC has a weekly meeting in-person at the Capitol during the 2026 general legislative session. LAC members can join virtually for about an hour during the three-hour block during which the LAC has a room reserved. A virtual link will be sent to the LAC prior to the scheduled meeting.
Elevate Utah has multiple ways you can learn about and follow what's going on in the session. As they say, "Paying attention is an act of resistance." Resources include:
  • A new Digital Bill Tracker that breaks down what to know about each bill and where it is in the process. They put their own spin on things, with a rating for each bill between "support", "neutral", "oppose" and, for the really interesting ones, "pure crazy."
  • Their new You Tube channel is similar to their social media, but with longer daily breakdowns, weekly recaps, and more.

Several organizations offer opportunities for engagement, including lobby days with training and bill information:
